$80.00
YOUR RANGE FEES ARE INCLUDED!
LENGTH: Approximately 3-4 hours, including live fire exercise.
DESCRIPTION:
This USCCA course is designed with the new or inexperienced shooter in mind. In this course, we will review important topics, such as the universal safety rules of shooting, parts of your handgun, selecting your firearm, ammunition components, clearing malfunctions, proper grip, sight alignment, trigger control, and more.
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
PREREQUISITES:
Have a good attitude. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the range.
BRING TO CLASS:
Each student will need to bring one firearm, at least 100 rounds of proper ammunition (BRASS AMMMO ONLY allowed in the range) for that firearm, and eye and ear protection. If you have prescription glasses, you may wear these in lieu of safety glasses. Your firearm and ammunition will be inspected prior to range qualifications.
A minimum of a .22 caliber handgun or larger is required.
COURSE COMPLETION:
Students will be eligible for advanced classes upon completion of the Beginner Course.
ATTIRE:
Closed-toed shoes (no sandals), shirts with long sleeves and collar close to neck (no low-cut shirts), pants or long shorts, and baseball cap.
